For six years, (seven if I get in again this year), I've been very proud to be associated with a Christmas Caroling group that I feel, in my opinion, is the best Caroling group in Southern California. Adhering to a high standard of professionalism, musical ability, performance savvy and a healthy amount of improv acting, Mixed Company can never fail to please in any Caroling event. Many kudos to Randy Pryor and Jo Monteleone for honoring me with six years of fun and the joy of making people's Christmas Season. Ther's nothing I like better than getting dressed up, grabbing a bell in each hand and strolling through a restaurant or party with my quartet, because we're there for one reason and one reason alone - to make Christmas merry. How cool is that? So, with apologies to former quartets for not having any pictures to scan and put up, here are some pics of my previous years, in performance and in casual moments!
Music Director Jo Monteleone (far right) putting us through our paces for our weekend rehearsal retreat at Lake Arrowhead. In this picture from left to right - Laura Gregory (Sarah's sis), John Blaylock, Stacy West, Erin FItzgerald, Shannon Slager (in purple in the back), Candy Fodera, Victor Borjas, Jimmy Hunt (I think), James Below-below-below, and some Filipino guy.

Trivia Note - Take a close look at the outfit I'm wearing. Exactly one week after this picture was taken, this entire outfit and the two bells I'm carrying werre stolen out of my car from the parking structure at work, not to mention the broken window and two punched locks. Oh and my entire collection of 200 (!) CDs. I've made a promise to myself that if I ever find a bum wandering around Hollywood dressed like this, I'm going to pull over and beat the crap out of him! Well... ...maybe not. But I WILL give him a stern lecturing!

Here we are at the Five Crowns Restaurant in Corona Del Mar, our best gig in the world! We go table to table and Mixed Company has been there for something like 17 years. They do a brisk trade on Christmas and I htink a lot of it is people who have made it a tradition to come see the Carolers. Just warms your heart, doesn't it? BTW, the Five Crowns Restaurant has the hands-down best prime rib I've ever ever had. They also have the unique distinction (to me and anyone who knows me) of having the only salad I look forward to eating. For anyone who knows how much I like veggies, that's a HUGE deal.
I'm told I do a pretty good Elvis. I'm actually rather proud of my Elvis, and I love to do Blue Christmas, which leads me to these two pix - James, Erin and Candy, singing a little backup whilst I make a fool out of myself. Thank ya', a-thank ya' very much...
